Sleep Apnea & Snoring
Sleep apnea is a common and potentially serious condition. Often heavy snoring is a sign of sleep apnea, but not always.
Sleep apnea patients sleep poorly, and can be drowsy all the time. This can lead to other medical conditions, as well as driving accidents.
Many conditions can make you prone to sleep apnea, from obesity to the way your airway is structured, or the shape of your mouth and tongue.
The gold standard for diagnosing is a sleep lab test.

We use Somnomed and other devices to treat obstructive Sleep Apnea in this office. We can also do home sleep testing to screen for Sleep Apnea if a sleep lab test isn’t practical or possible. This involves a kit you take home, and we upload the data to a specialist for a report.
